Blizzard Assistance Fund for Kimberly Brant

My name is Brie Anne Slaughter and my colleagues at Highgate Medical Group and I are setting up this fundraiser for our dear friend and coworker, Kim Brant.

Kim and her partner Timmy (and dog Chewie) were significantly & adversely affected by the recent events of the Buffalo Blizzard over the Christmas holiday weekend. A large tree fell and totaled Kim's car in the lot behind their apartment complex, while at the same time knocking out power to their apartment building. Because of the severity of the damage inflicted to the electrical box on the building, power had not yet been restored for over a week after the storm, when most other Buffalo residents had their power back. Additionally, their apartment flooded due to an errant indoor sprinkler that could not be shut off. Kim and Tim were able to walk to an airBNB in the city after several days into the storm to warm up and have a safe place to eat and sleep, but they will be looking for both a new car for Kim, and a new place to live in the coming weeks. We would like to help raise funds to get these endeavors off the ground for them (car insurance deductibles, security deposits, replacing lost items from the flood, etc).
