Bliss 62 miles in march

I am raising money to support Bliss Charity by completing 62 miles this March.

Bliss Charity helps to support babies born premature or sick by ensuring they receive the best possible neonatal care, improving survival rates, and enhancing quality of life. They provide emotional and practical support to families, train healthcare professionals, fund research, and campaign for better NHS neonatal services.

This is personal to me after my son was born with perinatal asphyxia due to a shoulder dystocia. He was then rushed to the NICU once he was stabilised he then underwent cooling therapy.

Therapeutic cooling (hypothermia therapy) in the NICU is a specialized, 72-hour treatment for newborns with moderate-to-severe hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) to reduce brain injury caused by oxygen deprivation at birth. It involves reducing a baby's core temperature to (range 33-35°C) within 6 hours of birth, followed by slow rewarming.

After this process we are lucky that our son is okay and he came home after a week in the NICU. He is now 4 months old and will continue to be monitored until he is 2 years old, but he is currently thriving thanks to this amazing process. I now want to give back to a charity that helped my son.
