As many of you know, the last week has been very frightening for our friend, Bling Johnson and his loved ones. Last week Bling rushed himself to the hospital for what was found to be dangerously high blood pressure, high enough that doctors said he wouldn't have survived had he not acted as he did. He spent last week in ICU with a team of doctors helping stabilize his heart. He was released last Friday, but quickly realized he was still not well. After two more visits to the emergency room with pain he thought to be kidney related, Becky was called and told it was critical he come back to the hospital immediately. From there they rushed him by ambulance to a hospital with a cardiothoracic surgeon. Bling's aortic valve was in life threatening condition, with 98% chance of fatality, and it became urgent to rush him into surgery. Yesterday, he went into emergency open heart surgery for an ascending aortic repair, as well as a descending aortic repair. After 7 hours of emergency surgery, they have repaired the valve, but it is likely they will need to repair more in the future. For now, he is beginning the road to recovery. Because of this, his business has come to a sudden stop, and it is unknown at this time how long he will have to be out. His road to recovery will be long and difficult, for him and his family. We will know more about his needs as things progress, and will keep everyone updated on needs from meals to Bling sitting. For now, they can use support in this area to help with heavy medical costs. He's rallied around so many of us, our lives, our causes; it's our time to rally around him and his family. We really just want to see that huge smile, infectious laugh, and crazy antics again (heart healthy antics, of course). We've all watched his grand adventures over the years, and this is just one more journey we will see him through. He will be back on the other end of the camera, probably with supervision, but definitely with that love for life we are all so drawn to. Please continue to keep Bling, Becky, Jordan, Taylor, Blake, and Reagan in your prayers during this difficult time of healing. Please also keep his mom, dad, and brother in your thoughts and prayers as they endure this also. We love you all!
