Hi, my name is Michael and back in 2009 I lost my sight and am now totally blind. Dragon Boat Racing has been a great outlet where I can still compete at the highest levels.

I have just been selected as one of the top paddlers in the nation and will represent the United States on Team USA in both the new ParaDragon Division as well as Senior C (over 60) at the World Championships in Thailand this summer. Since my beginning in dragon boating, this has been my dream.

Funds raised will help me pay for four training camps as well as the World Championships in Thailand. These camps will require airfare and hotel expenses. Unfortunately, flights are costing more this year.

Paddling in complete synchronization is crucial. and that's why attending these camps is so important to have the team blend. Last time the US won 11 gold medals under this same coaching staff.
