Blind Optimism is a coming-of-age story following Alan, a victim of a toxic waste accident that left him blind. To deal with the trauma, he instills a belief that he will become a superhero on his 18th birthday. Blind Optimism takes place in the 24 hours around his birthday as he navigates the struggles of hoping he's right and the possibility that his abilities may not come to fruition.
