The Inclusive Innovations Tasmania (IIT) Blind Cricket Tasmania (BCT) statewide program operates under MoU with Cricket Tasmania, and in partnership with Blind Sports Aust and Blind Cricket Aust. BCT just won Cricket Tasmania’s Community Partnership of the Year Award.
IIT seeks support to fund the all-ages, all-abilities statewide participation program as well as send our 'Tigers' state players to the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC).
Many players don't have the means to fund attendance at the NCIC, or purchase the necessary equipment and clothing.
Thanks to Kookaburra Cricket Aust for donating playing kits (bats, pads, gloves) and Cricket Tas for training equipment and partnership support, allowing for a high-quality playing experience for blind and visually impaired participants.
We welcome financial support from corporates, businesses, individuals and charity organisations to help us sustain the program and make the State Team Players’ dreams come true!
IIT launched BCT in February 2021, to deliver a participation program state-wide and a pathway to state and national representation. See WIN TV News story here: https://www.facebook.com/InclusiveInnovationsTas/videos/204025568170328
For many, it’s just an opportunity to play and connect with their community, but for emerging elite players, it’s access to high-performance training to realise their sporting dreams.
