Blind Beagle Emergency Splenectomy & Transfusion

Donation protected
Five years ago Beagle 911 Rescue committed to a 4-year-old blind and scared owner surrender who needed out of a kill shelter immediately as he was at risk for euthanasia. The perfect home was found for Ray and 2 years later his human mom had to make an agonizing decision to have his eyes removed. Ray continued to live happily for almost 3 more years when another tragedy befell our sweet Ray  -  he lost his beloved human grandad, who also lived with Ray. Three months later, on 2/17/2021 Ray became very sick and within two days he had been seen at 3 different vets' offices, one being an emergency vet. Ray was bleeding internally, required blood transfusions and an ultrasound - which identified a mass in his abdomen. Surgery was needed and his spleen was removed and sent for biopsy. We are awaiting the results of his biopsy and praying for a good outcome as his human mom is still grieving her own father. We have an invoice from Shiloh Vet  ($551.63), Mason Dixon ($3086.10) & Patton Vet ($299.40), which we will share with anyone asking for proof of expenditures. Any amount you can help with would be greatly appreciated by all of us. Thank you so much ❤️
