Blind 10K Challenge for a Great Cause

In 2023, I lost one of my best friends — someone who was not only a mentor to me, but also an incredible inspiration. He was blind and faced challenges most of his life, but that never stopped him from achieving amazing things. He delivered world-class results in his field and inspired everyone around him with his strength and mindset.

Losing him hit me hard. It put me in a really tough place, but I’ve kept pushing forward — doing everything I can to make him proud. Now, I want to take on a challenge that puts me right out of my comfort zone, something that honours his legacy and shows what’s possible.

So, I’ll be running a 10K completely blind — one of my senses taken away — to raise awareness and funds for a great cause that supports those living with sight loss and other daily struggles. This will be a massive mental and physical test for me, but I won’t know what I’m capable of unless I try.

If you’re able to donate, even just spare change, it would mean the world. Every bit goes towards supporting people who face challenges like this every single day — and helps keep my friend’s legacy alive.

Thank you so much.

At Bradbury Fields we enable blind, partially sighted people and people with dual sensory impairments to achieve their potential. We give people the ability to contribute to the social and economic fabric of their local communities.
Bradbury Fields (formerly known as the Liverpool Voluntary Society for the Blind (LVSB) was established in 1857, to provide a service for blind people in their own homes.
