As you all well know, Bree Berford along with the entire Bergford family are simply amazing! They do so much for so many people, all in the name of love and the Lord! So, it's time for us to be a blessing to them!
About 2 years ago, I was at a weekend conference about "Laying up Treasures in Heaven" and not on this earth. Over that weekend, I asked the Lord how I could make a financial investment into Eternity and He revealed clearly to me that He wanted me to help Bree have her own baby.
For those of you that don't know, Bree's amazing kids have been lovingly embraced as her own but she has never had the privilege of having a biological baby. Bree has shared that this is really her heart's desire but there's one tiny problem, awesome Dad Brad has had a vasectomy!
John and I prayed about this and have had discussion with both of them regarding this issue. They both strongly share the same desire to have not just one baby but an entire family with multiple new children! However, Brad's amazing Law School adventure put them in a significant amount of student loan debt and cannot justify paying for a reversal procedure with this debt. (What a financially savvy dad!)
So, I believe that with the help of their amazing friends and family, we can bless their family with the gift of a vascectomy reversal as the BEST NMD GIFT EVER!
Here's the details and what we need; If Brad goes to a Dad's Again doctor in Colorado it will be $7-8 thousand. But if he travels out of state (which he is willing to do) it will be about $3,000. I (Lynda and John Shelhamer) are matching gifts up to $1,500 for a total amount of $3,000 but if we could raise more, he wouldn't have to worry about traveling out of state.
Just like with anyone, we understand that he could have the reversal and they still might not get pregnant. But we are leaving this in God's hands and this will give them the gift of hope...the hope of Bree getting to experience the wonderful blessing of carrying and birthing her very own baby. So we are trusting that with JP+ and JC, God can do this!
