Hello Folks,
My dear friends Michael and Daleine Nunley (husband and wife) have been suffering with metastatic lymphoma and metastatic liver cancer, respectively. They were diagnosed within six months of each other. This started over three years ago.
There has been wonderful, loving encouragement and prayer from their friends, family, church, and homeschool co-op, but this family's needs escalated beyond meal deliveries, house cleaning and help with transportation.
We needed to do more to support this family in need. Hence, this gofundme page.
Recent Developments:
Daleine's cancer progressed to the point where she couldn't work or even keep up with laundry and dishes because of the pain, exhaustion, and nausea. Surgery was not an option for her because of the location of the growing tumor on her liver and the spreading of the cancer to her spine and skin.
Daleine passed away on Sunday, November 8th, 2015 in hospice care after a two week battle/celebration of her life. There were over 100 visitors and never less than 4 loved ones on hand at the hospital to be with Daleine 24/7. Amazing love! Those who had the chance to spend time with our beautiful girl during those weeks will never forget the impact she made for the Lord from her hospital bed. We can be comforted knowing that we will see Daleine in heaven again someday when we go home to be with our Savior. Praise the Lord!
Michael had a stroke in July 2015 that set him way back and he was let go from his highly-skilled job shortly after. This left him with a small severance and limited health insurance. He had very few options at this point in his cancer treatment.
He endured a rigorous stem-cell harvesting and replanting procedure last November but unfortunately it failed to eliminate the lymphoma. For months Michael kept looking for work, going on interviews, visiting with friends, and tried to keep things going at home for the kids. He was grieving Daleine and at a loss for how to move forward when he knew the lymphoma was spreading through his body. Mikey was in and out of the hospital over the next 7 months, but as the end came near, he was lovingly cared for in a home hospice by friends and family. On August 17th, 2016 Micheal left all these earthly cares and woes peacefully and went home to join Daleine in heaven with his Savior.
Family Matters:
The Nunleys homeschooled their two clever and musically talented kids. Taryn (20) is an accomplished singer and a brilliant actress.  Rand (18) loves playing football and plays the Bari-Sax like a boss!
Sadly, experiences like getting a driver's license, graduating, starting college, and getting a job, were delayed for them in the ripple effects of both parents having cancer at once. The money and motivation just seemed to disappear, while time marched on and the kids tried to keep up.
Michael and Daleine were heartsick about these issues and wanted so much to meet the needs of their children. They wanted to know that Taryn's and Rand's immense potential would get the chance to come to fruition. Just like every parent dreams for their kids.
About the Money:
It's important that you understand your donations have gone toward covering the overwhelming medical expenses, household bills, groceries, gas, and other immediate needs for the Nunleys over the last year.
In August 2016, a Trust was created for the kids and now all donations will go into that fund to help pay for college for Taryn and Rand. They will both be attending TCC this school year and are making plans for future careers.
Please consider blessing this family with your continued gifts and prayers.  Thank-you so much.
A Prayer for the Nunleys:
Please Lord be with this family and show each member their path in this journey.  We thank-you for our time with Daleine and Michael. We pray for Taryn and Rand, who are having to grow up so fast.  We ask your comfort for extended family and friends.  Also Lord, please inspire all of us who love the Nunleys with the best ways to help them right now and in the long term. We trust you Lord and we know that you treasure your children. Thank you Father. Amen.
