As many of you already know, Bo has been accepted into a 5 year clinical trial in Washington, D.C. which will require the Baker family to travel to D.C. at least 4 times each year. While the clinical trial does cover Bo's medication, it does not cover clinical visits or travel expenses. For those of us fortunate enough to know the Bakers, we know just how special they truly are! Let's bless this family and help them be able to put all of their focus on sweet Bo!

For those of you who may not know Bo's story:

Bo Lawson Baker was born on July 1st, 2015 after an uneventful pregnancy and normal full term birth. He was welcomed home by an overjoyed Dana and Kevin Baker and two excited sisters, Ava and Ali. As time went on, Bo's family begin to notice delays in his development. As sweet and cute as Bo was, he was not properly tracking with his eyes, smiling, or holding his head up properly. It was at this point that every test in the book was performed before the diagnosis was discovered in February 2016 at only 7 months old and confirmed in early April through genetic testing. Bo was diagnosed with an extremely rare, progressive, recessive genetic disease called Aicardi-Goutieres syndrome (AGS).

Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome is an extremely rare degenerative auto-immune disease which attacks every part of the body. Most children with AGS live a life with a range of complex medical needs and have an unknown life expectancy. Since 1984, there have only been about 3-400 cases worldwide. Today, there are about 50 known cases of AGS in the world and there is NO treatment, NO cure.

We ask that you all continue to lift up Bo, Dana, Kevin, and their family in prayer. We appreciate all those who have already supported our family through prayer, calls, visits, food, cards, encouraging words, and monetary support for medical expenses. It is God's servants here on Earth that have given us the strength to accept our "new normal".

Please continue to pray for peace, patience, and understanding for our family. Although our future is uncertain,there is no uncertainty that GOD is in control of this situation and his mercies are new for us every day. Dana and Kevin have proven to be so strong throughout this ordeal and we know that it is the hand of God and fervent prayers from believers that are holding them up.

We also realize that Bo’s purpose here on Earth is a big one and we pray that God gives us the vision and the ability to do something great through this platform.
