Blessings for Robert Zapata and Family
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
I’m asking for your help in raising funds for my mother and father in law. My father-in-law, Robert Zapata, was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate and kidney cancer in 2020. After his diagnosis he went through surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Unfortunately he was forced to retire at a young age due to his illness. These last few years have been difficult for him but he has definitely made the best of it with family and friends at his side. Robert’s health drastically declined last week which led to him being bedbound. My mother-in-law, Marisa Zapata, is selflessly tending to him around the clock with the help of their children. As Marisa is doing her best to make sure Robert is comfortable in his final moments she is also trying to prepare for what is to come. Robert is a Registered Nurse and served our community for the past 30 years working in various nursing positions. Many of those years he worked as a House Supervisor at Spohn Memorial. My husband and I would often visit Robert while he was at work and I just loved to see how he interacted with his co-workers and patients. I was very lucky to be able to go to him when I had some questions in nursing school. Needless to say Robert has always been willing to lend a hand when needed. His wife and family need support and prayers right now as they deal with this difficult time. I’d like to help Marisa by raising funds for current and future expenses as she is on an unpaid leave of absence from work to tend to Robert. He has a hospice nurse coming to his home twice a week to check vitals and to bring supplies leaving all of his daily care to Marisa and his children. Marisa is a very strong, loving, caring woman dealing with heartache and stressing over what is to come in the near future. I’d like to alleviate that stress in any way possible as Robert has asked us all to help take care of her after he leaves this Earth. Donations of any amount would greatly be appreciated. Prayers and words of comfort for Marisa, Robert, and the family are also much appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.
