Hello, my name is Colleen Zaremski and my family and I are hoping to raise funds for our dear friend, Melanie.
Over 30 years ago we were blessed to meet a shy, but loving little girl named Melanie.
Even at the tender age of 10, we knew that Melanie was someone SPECIAL.
She had an old soul and just seemed to understand people and relate to them on a level that Jesus himself would have shown to others.
Watching Melanie grow into the fiercely selfless, devoted, God loving woman that she is today has been one of our life’s greatest honors.
Melanie is now a mom of four beautiful girls, a wife, restaurant manager, devoted member and greeter at Valorous Church, and is a tireless supporter and advocate for Disabled and Homeless Veterans.
She has also been on numerous mission trips, delivers excess bagels from work to local firefighters and EMT workers, volunteers on the meal team at her church, and so much more.
I could go on and on.
To know Melanie is to know God’s love as she is surely one of His earth angels.
But on March 30, 2023
our angel was dealt a devastating blow.
Melanie was in a horrifying accident that left her without her left leg, just below her knee.
She also suffered a compound fracture of both her radius and ulna in her left arm.
She has already had multiple surgeries and will need a lengthy stay at an in-patient rehab facility with an out-of-pocket cost of $40,000.
Their insurance will cover the cost of her wheelchair, and an electric wheelchair has already been donated, but her insurance does NOT cover her much needed rehab therapy.
It is estimated that she will be out of work at least 6 months until she receives her prosthesis and learns to walk again.
She has been dealt quite a hand for sure, but with many hands we can help her get through this.
As Mel herself says, “When blessed hearts bless hearts, love grows.”
Please help us shower this most precious woman with the love she deserves.
Anyone who has met Melanie walks away with a blessed heart.
Please help us to bless hers in return.
We humbly thank you.
