This Friday, the 15th, Maya will be going into Dallas Children's Hospital for a small outpatient surgery. Our family is asking for prayers. "When two or more are gathered in His name He is in the midst of us!" -Matthew
Maya started having stomach pain since the end of August and it continued to get worst. After two urgent care visits and the ER on the 2nd, when she fell over into a ball due to the severe pain. We knew it was more then just what the UC&ER doctors were bandaging her up for. After two rounds of antibiotics for false UTI symptoms and constipation. We began our own research.
On Monday, we we're able to get her into an OB in Frisco who specializes in Pediatric care and has a huge passion for youth healthcare! Praise the Lord for moving around the scheduling because Maya was originally on the list for end of March!
On Monday, we were relieved to hear that there was an underlying issue and deeper cause to her pain. Which escalated to a visit with a radiologist/surgeon at Children's, the next day (Tuesday) for a second opinion.
From there the radiologist/surgeon confirmed the OB's founding and diagnosis and scheduled Maya for the earliest outpatient appt this Friday! God is good all the time! He is worthy of Praise!
Our prayer requests:
1. God to move in mighty ways as he works thru the hands of the anesthesian, surgeon, scrub nurses and all involved in this process. Pre-Op, Post-Op!
2. Since we are a cash paying client. We are in communication with various ppl trying to work out costs. It is looking like it's going to be in the 5 digits. Please pray for God's favor and provision and mainly Grace! (Just facility alone is $11k)
3. That she will recover quickly and no post-op complications.
4. That there will be no organs damaged nor reproductive systems damaged from this particular diagnosis.
Again, we believe in the power of prayer and the power of the Name of Jesus! We're asking that you stand with us on behalf of Maya.
She's nervous but she has peace that God will be with her. At 10 years old, she has tramendous courage and is looking forward to having her normal routine back soon and special fun times with her friends on community days again. It's been super awkward for her and she has felt so alone.
Thank you. We are grateful for each of you!
