Blessings for little Clementine!

Hello friends and family! I recently spent time with my nephew, his beautiful wife, and their incredible baby Clementine. After discussing some things with Scout (Clementine's father), I realized this family is in need of financial assistance. They are building a beautiful life with their little family. Scout works over 50 hours a week and loves his job, however, even with all his hard work and effort into building financial stability, they have had some major setbacks since the day little Miss Clementine was born.

Clementine was born in Arizona on October 14, 2023. She was born with a syndrome called VATER Syndrome. If you are not familiar with that syndrome it can affect things such as vertebrae, the anus or rectum, the heart, the trachea, the esophagus, and the kidneys.

Clementine was in the NICU for 160 total days and was a fighter through those 5.5 months. Here is a breakdown of Clementine's procedures and experiences over the past year.

- Tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) surgery and creating a colostomy bag 10-15-23
- Creation of the anus in hospital for 4 days 05-02-24
- The takedown of the colostomy 09-26-24 in hospital for 3 days

She takes her food through a feeding tube and has a very difficult time gaining weight. She is 15 months old now and weighs 14 lbs.

In November, she got the flu and spent more time in the NICU. This was a scary one as she almost didn’t make it due to severe breathing issues and lack of oxygen.

In December, she got RSV and had to be hospitalized for 4 days. She had kidney surgery scheduled for that time but had to reschedule due to her being so weak and ill from RSV.

On Monday, she will be having kidney surgery and she will be having open-heart surgery next month (February).

I learned that this sweet young couple is thousands of dollars in debt from this past year due to all of these hospital stays and procedures. Thankfully, they have insurance, but insurance unfortunately does not cover everything. As they are paying off bills, they will be having more bills come in due to the kidney and heart surgery scheduled ahead.

Let's band together and help this wonderful family! It has been an extremely emotional year for them as first-time parents. They have powered through sleepless nights, worry, fear of the unknown, and anxieties about their sweet Clementine. They have fought through with faith, hope, and endless amounts of prayers. The amount I am asking for will barely cover the past debt, not to mention what they have ahead, but it will be a huge blessing!!!

We ask for your support as they continue to work hard to provide for this wonderful miracle baby!

We appreciate your love and ask for your prayers as she heads into these two surgeries. We love you all!

Love, Angie
