Hi, my name is Aaron Elmendorf, and today is a difficult day for me and my family. I'm trying to receive help for a very special person in our life, my mother Jody, who has been a warrior in her trials. She has been given many challenges in life, including health concerns and financial concerns. I'll try to keep this short, but like I said, my mother has been through a lot in life.

From a physically and mentally abusive marriage she was scared to leave for 12 years, that I, as a child, bore witness to. She suffered beatings across the face, was dragged by her hair, and had bruises from him beating her. She would always put herself in front of us to protect us, meaning me and my brother. So, she's gone through that to health concerns. She was battling a very rare form of cancer, triple-negative breast cancer and invasive ductal carcinoma, which almost took her life. She was on extremely harsh chemo and radiation and eventually had to have both breasts removed. Currently, she is cancer-free at the moment. Then, right after that, she got hit with heart complications and now two very large brain aneurysms that need immediate attention and surgery. She's battling depression and is in pain 24/7, 7 days a week. She can't even sleep on a bed and has slept on a recliner for many years. She can't even remember the last time she's been able to sleep comfortably in a bed.

She's now also struggling financially, has trouble keeping food in the house, and money to pay bills. Her income barely saves them enough every month. My brother, who is the only one there to take care of her, can't work at the moment because of everything going on and has to be there by her side. She is not the type of person to ever reach out for help, but yet always helps anyone and everyone she can. Even when she can't afford to, she still does, and not just with family. I've seen her give kids who we don't know just run up and ask for a few bucks and help them, and homeless people I've seen her help when she can't really afford to. She's always had such a huge loving heart. I truly believe she needs a blessing in return after all the years of love she's given others and unfortunately has been given the hand she's been dealt. It breaks all of our hearts, so I would like to do something to help alleviate some of her bigger stresses in life. If anyone deserves help, it is this woman right here, and I hope people will see this post and help with whatever they can. Thank you to those who see this, and God bless.
