Blessings for Jamie

Hello everyone. My name is Andrea Starr, and I've been blessed to have Jamie Allgood as my precious friend, as well as have the honor to work alongside her as my Board Chair at the Forward Foundation. Jamie was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive lung cancer (Stage IV) that metastasized into her brain as another rare cancer, choriocarcinoma. This diagnosis came after she suffered a series of seizures and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. The diagnosis came as a complete surprise, as she had no prior symptoms.

Jamie is very special. Her vibrant personality is bigger than life and she loves a good adventure. She leads each day with a servant's heart and lives her life to glorify God. Jamie is a successful and well-respected family law attorney, community leader, and an active member of her church. She is an avid runner who runs two marathons a year and a doting wife and mother to three beautiful children, ages 4, 7, and 15. Jamie lives with purpose and integrity and represents the epitome of kindness devoting her life to helping others.

As you may imagine, this sudden news and diagnosis have turned their world upside down. Jamie and her family need our help. Jamie will not be able to work for an indefinite period of time as they navigate finding the proper specialists and undergoing particularly harsh chemotherapy treatment. She has already spent several weeks in the hospital, undergone emergency brain surgery to remove the tumor in her brain, and has had multiple tests, scans, and testing to figure out the best treatment plan. Her medical bills are mounting quickly, and there will be significantly more to come. Jamie has a very positive mindset and is determined to fight this aggressively.
