Blessings for Diane

Calling all Prayer Warriors-

A dear friend, mother, grandmother is in need of a multitude praying for the healing powers of God for her. Her name is Diane Crews - a woman with a kind spirit, gentle soul and strong faith. She is 55 years young, and is battling stage 4 cancer in her colon, liver and lymph nodes. Well, she has chosen to fight!! In about two weeks, she will undergo 6 months of very aggressive chemo 5 days a week with treatments once or twice a month for the rest of her life. She wants to continue this journey of life for as long as God gives her strength to do so. The dream that she has is seeing her 10-yr old grandson who calls her mama (her heart) graduate from high school and walk across that stage to get his diploma.

For as long as I've known Diane, she has been fighting cancer for over 15 yrs now. At that time, she had stage 4 thyroid and parathyroid cancer which she had been going through since 2005. I remember she even drove herself to her surgery, stayed in the hospital a week, and drove back home. Recently, she shared that on January 22, a visit to the ER interrupted her life again with the doctor telling her that they found 3 masses on her liver, and that it could be liver cancer. After tests and scans, on June 11th, she was admitted into the hospital to undergo surgery, they removed part of her liver and half her colon that was also cancerous. Dr’s told her that not only did she have stage 4 liver cancer, but it has also metastasized to her colon and lymph nodes. This makes 7 cancers for her. Her struggle is real! She's an amazing woman and a child of God! Family and friends, To still be humbly standing strong is nothing but the power of God working through her. When I met her years ago, she lost her hair and was able to grow it back. Her daughter says that she has a wish to be able to save her hair which will never grow back since she will be on chemo for the rest of her life. Her Dr. recommends for her to get a Polar chemo cap for her head when she starts chemo.
