Blessings for Brandy and the boys
Donation protected

Brandy Bullock has been a dear friend of mine for 30 years. We grew up together in the small town of Capac, Michigan. Brandy, myself and our tight knit group of friends had the time of our lives growing up together. We had our fair share of antics throughout high school and into our early twenties. Oh the stories I could (but won't) tell! We have seen one another through relationships, breakups, marriages, divorces, births of our children, illness, deaths of loved ones, and everything in between. Through happiness and heartache, we always have rooted one another on and been each other's biggest cheerleaders.
In our circle of friends, each of us plays a different role and brings something unique to the group. Brandy brings the HEART. Brandy is selfless, fiercely loyal and accepting of everyone. She is down to earth, loving, and just so much fun to be around! She is generous and giving even when she doesn't have the means to be. We love Brandy for so many reasons, but our "B" has a heart of gold and we love her for it most!
It is because of this, that I am creating this GoFund Me page for Brandy and her boys, Jakob and Nathan. Brandy and her boys suffered a tremendous loss on Monday, September 14 when her love and partner in crime, Tommy Sawyers passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
Twenty-one years ago, Brandy met a "city boy" by the name of Tommy Sawyers. I don't think we will ever forget the first time we met Tommy! He was tall, skinny, and had the deepest voice I think I have ever heard. I'm pretty sure he said something along the lines of, "What's up babygirl" when we were first introduced. We weren't quite sure what to make of this guy. Lol! It didn't take long before we were all won over by his charm and charisma. Tommy had a larger than life personality and it was infectious. Tommy had our stamp of approval. :)
I think what sealed the deal for Brandy, was the way that Tom welcomed her son, Nathan into his life with open arms. Nathan was only a toddler when Tom and Brandy started dating. From the start, Tommy treated Nathan like he was his own. As a single mom, it warmed Brandy's heart to see the relationship between Nathan and Tommy grow. Nathan and Tom have shared a special bond ever since. Tom was proud to call Nathan his son.
A couple of years later, Tom and Brandy were blessed with their son Jakob. Tom's face lit up whenever he talked about Jakob. He was so proud to watch him take the field in football or make a shot in a basketball game. Tom was so affectionate towards Jake and I have to say it was one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. He loved his son endlessly and was so happy to be his father.
Tommy played this role with many of the kids and young adults in his life. Tom's nephews and nieces, Tristin, Dru, Timothy, and Lila were incredibly special to him. He always looked out for them and made sure they knew that they were loved by their Uncle Tom. This spanned into his relationship with all of Nathan and Jakob's friends too. The kids all loved Tom. He made them laugh, but most of all, they all knew that when it came down to it, they could count on him when they needed it. He had their backs.
Tommy loved his family. He had the good fortune of being blessed with two set of parents. Reyne and Tim DeLeo, and Thomas and Shelley Sawyers. Tom loved spending time with his siblings April, Tim, and Alysha. Boating, fishing, golfing, watching and attending sporting events were just a few of the things that Tom loved doing with his family members.
You couldn't help but to laugh and smile when Tommy was around because guaranteed, that's what he was doing! He was always happy, up for a good time and had a knack for making people feel special. Tom loved everyone and in turn, everyone loved Tom! I recall a story about a cruise that Brandy, Tom and the boys went on recently. Two days into the cruise, they couldn't go anywhere on the ship without people shouting, "Hey, Tom!", "What's up, Tommy?!", "Yo! Tommy!!!". He had made friends with virtually every guest on the ship. Tom was the life of the party!
Tommy was an avid golfer and loved the sport. Any chance he got, he was out on the golf course, enjoying the sun, a few cold beers and swinging his clubs. He looked forward to his golf league nights at Holly Meadows.
When I received the news on Monday afternoon that Tommy had passed, my heart shattered into a million pieces. I knew that my dear friend, Brandy and her boys would never be the same. They had just suffered an immeasurable loss. Brandy, Tom and the boys, loved each other unconditionally. He brought laughter, fun, and love to their homes. The absence of his presence will leave a deep scar on their hearts.
With our love and support, we can help Brandy and the boys move forward through their grief. It is my sincere hope that all that know and love Brandy and Tom, will be willing to help Brandy through this difficult time by offering assistance with costs associated with his memorial and day to day expenses. The coming weeks and months are going to be challenging with dealing with the loss of their beloved Tommy. The least we can do is ease some of the financial burden that comes along with it.
If you are able to donate, it would be a blessing to Brandy and her boys. They will be forever grateful for the support that they have received in this devastating time in their lives.
Sincerely,
