Blessings for Bobby

As some of you may know, my dear cousin Bobby, his wife Tami, and his 7 children gave up all they owned and became missionaries in a remote village in Peru. Yesterday at 5:am Bobby was riding a motorcycle to a different village and was hit by another motorcycle trying to pass a car. Luckily he survived the wreck, but he made it out with two compound fractures in his left leg, a broken foot and toes. So far has been to two medical facilities that were not equipped for the extent of his injuries. They then had to take him by commercial flight to Lima Peru. Thankfully the airline was very sensitive to his medical emergency and asked for other passengers to give up their seats on this flight so Bob could have a whole row as he needed to have his leg elevated. The airlines and local people were great. He then spent the entire night in the ER in Lima waiting for a Dr. to see him and admit him to the hospital for surgery. Much to his surprise he was told by the Dr. that his injuries were much too extensive for them to treat and he would be better off returning to the states for treatment. They did as much as they could to stabilize his leg for travel and then discharged. As you might guess, medical care in this country is not like in America. Therefor, he will need to be on the nearest flight back to the states in order for his injuries to be treated adequately and safely forcing him to leave his family behind. Unfortunately because he needs a row of seats this is proving to be a problem. Him and his wife are trying to contact the airlines in Lima, to see what kind of arrangements can be made that would enable him to travel with them without purchasing the whole row of seats. (Which is about 1500.00 -1600.00 a ticket). And not possible. He is in Good spirits considering he has not been treated with anything for pain and they set the leg by holding him down. I would very much appreciate all your prayers for him and his family. We don’t know how long his recovery will take and how long he will have to be in Florida. That is where he will go for medical care and stay with his parents while getting the medical care he needs. And if he will be there for an extended period of time his wife and children may have to go and join him. This has in no way effected their “call”, to family missions. And their faith is very strong.
Anything helps, and your prayers are greatly appreciated.
God Bless
