Blessings for Bob

Dad is someone who has always been a source of strength and guidance for our family.  He goes out of his way to be there for others whether it’s a helping hand on a home project or a thoughtful ear to listen to someone in need.  From building an addition to our family home, to car repairs in the garage, and fixing the random broken items that come with raising three children, he is the definition of Jack of All Trades (and as he would say: “Master of None”).

All of this changed suddenly for dad and our family in August when an MRI revealed a brain tumor.  After spending a few weeks at Roswell Cancer Center in Buffalo undergoing numerous tests and a biopsy, he was diagnosed with a  primary malignant glioblastoma. 

The doctors advised that surgery was not going to be an option, so he underwent 6.5 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatments at Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse. 

He has been very tired, but has not complained throughout the process. With dad unable to go back to work and even with VA benefits, Medicare, and private insurance, it is not enough to cover something our family could not have been prepared to face. 

We are asking for help. Whether it's prayer, reaching out, or helping offset costs associated with this diagnosis, we are thankful for any and all of the support we will receive.
