It is my grandparents’ wish to honor Great Grandpa Wright by supporting medical expenses for his great-grandson Bennett.
As a (27 weeks + 2 days at delivery) “super preemie,” Bennett has suffered from neutropenia, inguinal hernia, an irregular heartbeat, and a kidney issue, to name a few. Since his arrival home, he’s undergone innumerable blood tests and has received weekly physical therapy, regular occupational therapy, speech therapy, and early childhood intervention appointments.
At 3 years old, so far, Bennett has been seen by a whole team of doctors: pediatric cardiologists, ophthalmologists, neurologists, a nephrologist, cranial specialists, geneticists, a pulmonologist, and pediatric dermatologists. Due to his prematurity and other diagnoses, he will continue to undergo routine MRIs and other monitoring by neurologists and other medical specialists.
