Dreams Come True, with Blessings.

Greetings Friends of the Heart, and Fellow Dreamers on Life´s Path;

I write this hoping not to overly extend myself, and feeling a little bit daunted as I do so. Kindly forgive my ineptitude in adequately expressing myself as I ask humbly for your help.

My name is Julian Sellares. I am advancing in age and living in Mexico on my Social Security income. This rather limited monthly stipend allows me to fully clothe, feed and provide for all my basic needs, which thankfully are few, and I am very well contented in this respect! However, it does not permit me to fly too far afield, less so to visit what I consider to be my spiritual homeland, on the other side of our world.

In answer to an invitation from my teacher and "friend among friends" Yongey Myingyur Rinpoche to visit him this summer in his homeland of Nepal, and to take instruction from him within the walls of the newly built Tergar Ösel Ling Monastery [Link], I have felt compelled to move heaven and earth in order to take this first and only opportunity (at least in this lifetime) to visit the precious and luminous Land at the Top of the World.

Lifelong pilgrim that I am, I am determined to fulfill this dream regardless of cost, or of whatever debt I might incur, but I would be thankful beyond words and deeply moved, if I were to fulfill this dear wish of mine, with the blessings of your kind and generous support.

From what I have found, an economy class flight from Mexico City to Kathmandu alone costs approximately $2500 USD, and then there is Food and Lodging to consider, as well as visas, permits, land trasportation, etc. In addition to this, there is also the cost of the retreats themselves to take into account, which have only recently been published. All this together will hopefully not exceed the amount requested in my GoFundMe campaign. A part of me says.. "Perhaps it would be easier to say "Forget it, Julian! ".. but it is very hard to lightly abandon the ardent longing of the inmost heart.. as many of you must well know.
