As you’ve probably seen Johns cancer is back.(2) 3cm tumors. One is in the surgical wall and the other one is behind it encroaching on the Super Mesenteric Vein that supplies blood flow to & from the heart to the organs in the gut. Next Tuesday we will meet with Dr Jones (Oncologist) & Dr. Christein (Surgeon). The port he had removed two weeks ago will have to be put back into his chest wall vein to the heart for upcoming Chemotherapy. Radiation will also be given. We don’t know if these two masses are operable at this time until we meet with Dr. Christein next week. Also next week, John will have another endoscopy to perform the biopsy. Dr. Jones (Oncologist) is 90% sure that this is a pancreatic cancer reoccurrence. It’s only been 6 months since he was declared “disease free”. The news is not shocking since we knew something was very wrong 6 weeks ago after his pain was off the chart consistently. It’s going to be a tough road ahead but it is treatable.
