Blessing the Bensons!

Meet Francy! Francy is an adorable little five year old girl who has an infectious giggle. She is playful, kind, and the funniest little person.

A few weeks ago Sabra, Francy’s mom, became concerned about Francy’s health and began closely observing Francy. There were headaches that seemed to be relentless and too intense. Her eye began to move in a way it didn’t before. Sabra sought out medical help but as you know, it can be a slow process. After another intense headache, Sabra & Eric decided to take Francy to a pediatric ER in our area. They spent several days in the hospital and Francy was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on the base of her skull. The tumor is pushing on her ocular nerve and is also causing the intensely painful headaches.

The Bensons are a family of six: Eric, Sabra, and four beautiful girls. Sabra stays home and educates the girls, Kaysleigh, River, Francy, and Ellinore. The Bensons are family to so many of us. Our families participate in co-op, church, American Heritage Girls, and My Life Matters together. We enjoy field trips, play dates, camping, and swimming with them. We live and love life with the Bensons.

We know our friends will have some long days ahead of them. There will be many trips to the oncologists, scans, parking fees, gas, meals away from home, babysitters to pay, and of course the medical expenses. Our community is praying for a miracle. We are desperate to help them - to hold them up while they fight this battle. Many have asked how they can give, so we are setting up this fundraiser for those who have requested it. We also want you to pray - earnestly, deeply, pour out your soul prayers. Ask the Father to heal Francy, to give the entire family strength, peace, wisdom. Pray for the doctors and nurses working with them. Pray that people will see and know Christ.
