Our sweet sister Alicia went to the Hospital early Monday morning the 11th of May 2020 to give birth to baby Alijah when everything changed for the worst. Alijah's heart rate rose to dangerous levels of 180 to 190 with random drops. This is when the doctor decided he needed to come out as soon as possible. Alicia had to have an emergency C-section to get Alijah out safely. Alijah was born at 7:22am and weighed 8.1 pounds. When Alijah was born he had trouble breathing on his own and had Meconium in his lungs. The doctor had to insert a breathing tub to support his breathing.  After 30 minutes of trying to stabilize his breathing Alijah had to be airlifted by Helicopter to the Dell Children Hospital in Austin. Unfortunately Alicia and Kevin cannot join him and have to take daily trips to Austin to see him and supply him with Breast milk for his feedings. We are nonot sure how long he has to stay in the Hospital and they are taking it day by day. It could be anywhere between 1-2 weeks or more. Due to all these unexpected events we are trying to help them as much as we can to support them.
