On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 6:11 a.m. I received a devastating call from my dear sister, friend, Terri. Her voice was trembling as she told me that Ryan was in a horrible accident at work. There had been an explosion and he was terribly burned. “I just need you to pray.” she said to me. My heart fell into my stomach as I was at a loss of words. You see, I love these two people with all my heart. And if you know them, you love them too. You never see Mr. Ryan without a smile on his face. His light shines for Jesus and he has a servant’s heart.

Ryan was admitted to Vanderbilt with 2nd and 3rd degree burns covering 40% of his body. He has already had 2 surgeries. Aside from the pain from his burns there is also an issue with his shoulder, and the possibility of AFib Or infection. The doctors believe that he will be in the hospital around 40 days. He is in a lot pain and his road to recovery will be long, but by the power of prayer and God, he is alive!!

With the permission of Ryan and Terri Horton, I am honored to begin this fundraiser to help them financially during Ryan’s healing and restoration. The funds will go directly to them to assist with bills, time missed from work, and any other expenses that might arise during this long journey. Any and all donations are appreciated.
