Hi, my name is Lauren. I am the daughter of Patty and Wes Freland. I am creating this fundraiser for the most selfless, bravest and strongest person i know, my momma.

Roughly 6 years ago we received the most devastating news that my mom had stage 4 breast cancer. After countless chemotherapy, radiation, hospital stays and a double mastectomy, we finally had a sigh of relief that the cancer was gone. Unfortunately a few years later it came back for a second time but yet again, she beat it because that’s the warrior she is!

Well in 2022, That devil entered her body again for the 3rd time!! She was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and got the news she will have to do chemo for the rest of her life. She has truly been through hell and back. This has been the hardest, longest and most heartbreaking experience anyone should ever endure. My mom currently does treatment every 3 weeks and maybe only has 1 week where she can leave the house feeling ok. I’ve never met someone that has gone through so much pain and heartbreak in their life but still be in the best of spirits. Cancer does not defined her, she will never let this devil get to her. We know God is so good and will heal her for the 3rd time!!

This is something I wanted to do for not only my mom but my dad also. Due to my mom’s illness she had been on long term disability from her job, fortunately and unfortunately due to being on it long enough, it had expired and she had to make the decision to retire. Although she deserves to retire it has put a wrench in things, especially financially. Due to retiring early, she has lost her insurance. If anyone has experienced hospital bills before, can you imagine how much one of her treatments are every 3 weeks and other medications she is on just to get through the sickness everyday?!? INSANE. My dad is currently working 3 jobs so they can try to afford out of pocket insurance that will pay for her treatment and of course bills. If anyone knows my dad, he is the most selfless person you will ever meet. He will do everything and anything for truly anyone. My parents have been married 40 years and the love that my dad has for my mom is something I strive for everyday. The stress that has accumulated over the years is just currently spilling over and we just want to try and relieve some of that stress for them. They deserve every blessing in the world. Whether it is donating or honestly just your prayers, we as a family are truly grateful.

Both my parents are unaware that I’m even making this for them. They would never do something like this or ask anyone for help. But this is something myself and I know a lot of her friends and family would love to do for them. They have been through so much and would love to bless them with help and creating an army of people praying for her! She’s got this!!
