Please help with Robert Rucker "Coach Rob's" Stroke Recovery

Our dear friend Rob has suffered a severe stroke.

When they say life can change from one day to another, it happened to Rob and Penni. Their whole life was changed in an instant.

• On March 21 their lives changed in a matter of seconds. Rob unexpectedly had a massive hemorrhage stroke. He was placed on a ventilator and was not expected to survive. He remained in ICU for weeks and he received a tracheostomy and a stomach percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube. He is currently unable to sit, stand, walk, or swallow solids and it has also left half his body paralyzed. He remained in the hospital and rehab for 6 months and is now home, and if you know his wife Penni you know that she has never left his side and is his sole caregiver at this time. Rob and Penni are unsure about the coming months but one thing we do know is Rob is a fighter. At this time, he continues to get stronger every day and is trying to talk. His entire right side was paralyzed but he has since regained some feeling and he has begun to regain some movement in his right leg. Which is such a blessing.
• Over the past three decades, Rob has impacted the lives of countless young men and women through coaching, mentoring, and volunteering. Rob has touched the lives of many. Since Rob was a young husband and father, he has volunteered for youth athletics and has been deeply involved in his community. He taught athletics and mentored through his ability to listen or just be there when needed. He used a great combination of discipline and humor. His unselfish service left many positively affected. The kids felt cared for and noticed, and they wanted to learn. Through his many years as a coach, he helped many youths navigate the path to adulthood. He is a husband, father, brother and friend.

Rob's mobility has been seriously compromised and it is very difficult to move him around. Rob and Penni are in dire need of an ADA vehicle lift for transportation to his many appointments and need some ADA upgrades done in the home.

Coach Rob and his wife are usually the ones doing the giving and have sacrificed so much over the years by volunteering their time. We ask that you consider making a gift of any size to show your appreciation for the great work they have done that affected so many lives.

For those of you who don’t know Rob, he coached Football for over 25 years.
He coached the Central Saints for 8 years, coached the Calvary Panthers in 2007, and the Central Valley Panthers from 2009 to 2014 and was Coach of the year in 2011 from the DYSA football league. In 2015, he decided to retire, but the love of the game continued to call him, and he returned and became the President and Coach of the Central Valley Ducks for several years before dedicating himself solely to baseball his first passion and just like football he coached many youth baseball leagues including Hart Ransom, Salida Youth Baseball, among others. Many of the parents and players have become longtime friends/family.

We appreciate any help, no matter how large or small. Please help us get the word out by sharing our campaign on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and with your friends. Please keep Rob and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Tough times don't last; tough people do!

He still has a long road ahead. You and GOD got this Rob! We've got your back brother!!
