Blessing Chuck Mingo & Family: A Journey to See God’s Majestic Sequoias

Last year, during one of Chuck’s sermons at Crossroads, he shared an illustration about the sequoia trees — their strength, longevity, and the way they grow together, sustained by deep, interconnected roots. In that moment, he mentioned that he had never seen them in person.

Something stirred in my heart.

I felt a clear and gentle calling from God that someday, Chuck and his family were meant to experience this majestic creation firsthand — not as a vacation they planned for themselves, but as a gift. A moment of rest, awe, and renewal for a pastor who pours himself out daily for others.

Chuck has given so much to the Crossroads community and to the broader Body of Christ. He has faithfully led with humility, courage, and a heart for unity in a world that feels increasingly broken. Through his leadership, countless lives have been encouraged, challenged, and drawn closer to Jesus. His ministry continues to grow the Kingdom by building bridges, fostering reconciliation, and pointing people toward hope.

This GoFundMe is my audacious step of obedience — to follow through on a calling God placed on my heart over a year ago.

My goal and prayer is to send Chuck, his wife, and their three children on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to experience God’s creation in a powerful way. The trip includes:

San Francisco

Yosemite National Park

Sequoia National Park

Kings Canyon National Park

 Los Angeles

The trip is already booked with a deposit, but I need funds to pay the balance due. The funds raised will cover travel, lodging, transportation, park access, and other excursions and essentials so the Mingo family can simply receive this gift without burden or stress.
