David & Amber Fire Recovery Fund

Hi my name is Andrea Herron (David & Amber's sister-in-law) and with a heavy heart I wanted to share what happened to their Kentucky home early this morning on January 14th. In the middle of the night, their home (which they have been renovating/remodeling before moving into) caught on fire. They believe the cause of the fire was something to do with an electrical wire that was on the exterior of the home.

This happened just a couple of weeks before they moved in, and thank goodness they weren't there when it happened. They were so close to being done with the remodel that included: a brand new kitchen (cabinets, backsplash, countertops, sink, the works), brand new flooring, fresh paint on the walls, and new light fixtures. Much of this isn't salvageable due to water damage from when the fire department put the fire out. Along with this, some of their personal belongs like furniture and home decor pieces were also lost.

Unfortunately, they did not have Home Owners Insurance on this house, as they weren't living there yet. They were living with family until competing the renovations. Their insurance would have started covering the home in February. This means that insurance is unable to help financially.

To get to the point, we would love to raise some money for them to help with the finances for the remodel and for the personal belongings that they lost.
