Blessed to have help

Hi, my name is Katie Diaz. 12 years ago I began my battle with cancer and since then I’ve battled 3 different cancers; melanoma, thyroid, and ovarian cancer. Unfortunately we found the third one too late and I will fight this one the rest of my life while also monitoring for the other cancers to reoccur or a new one develop since I have a genetic mutation.

Over the past 12 years, medical debts and secondary medical debts have accumulated to a point that I’m here, asking for help.

If you know me, I have worked every minute of my illnesses. Currently, I’m working 3-4 jobs and my husband works 6 days a week. I am a teacher and always end up running out of days off to take because of all my doctors appointments, it leaves me no wiggle room to take off if I just need a day or have something else I want to do because I can’t afford my pay to be docked. I take any extra jobs I can, but now, more than ever, I realize I’m working the rest of my life away because my pride has kept me from asking for help.

I have several specialty doctors that I have to see on a regular basis and my medicine alone each month (especially in this economy) has gotten astronomically high. ‍

I am blessed to have had some help over the years, but never had I had a fundraiser or any thing like this. ♥️

My family and I would be grateful for any and all help that you can give us to help with past medical debt so that we can move forward and continue all of my treatments without the extra burden of the past debts. I pray that, one day, I will be able to financially pay it forward. Please know I try to help out any and everyone as much as I can, otherwise.
