My name is Faye, and I’m reaching out with a humble request on behalf of someone who means the world to me—my dear friend of over 30 years, Wanda Keyes. Wanda is more than a friend; she is family. She stood beside me as the Matron of Honor at my wedding, and she has been a blessing in my life for decades. She is married to her loving husband, Myron, and together they share a son, Jelani, and his wife, Jennifer.
On Monday, January 5, 2026, Wanda’s life changed in an instant. While driving on a two‑lane road just a few miles from her workplace, another vehicle attempted to pass from the opposite lane and didn’t make it in time, striking Wanda head‑on. The impact was so severe that first responders had to cut her out of her car. Through it all, Wanda never lost consciousness—and she never lost her faith in God. Even in the midst of pain and chaos, she believed she would survive.
Her injuries are extensive: a broken ankle, a shattered knee, a femur broken in two places, broken ribs, a broken arm, and a lacerated liver. She has already undergone five surgeries, with many more ahead. She remains in the hospital in good spirits, but her recovery will be long and difficult. She will be unable to work for an extended period and will require ongoing rehabilitation and additional procedures.
That is why I am raising funds for her. Wanda has always been strong, independent, and giving—but right now, she needs support. These donations will help her maintain her household and ease the burden of mounting medical expenses as she focuses on healing.
If you feel led to give, please know that every contribution—no matter the amount—will make a meaningful difference for Wanda and her family. I also ask that you share this link with your friends, family, and anyone who may be willing to help. Spreading the word will bring us closer to reaching our goal and lifting some of the weight off Wanda’s shoulders.
I will keep everyone updated on Wanda’s condition and her journey to healing. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity.
