Bless Uncle Dan Gill: Rebuild After TOTAL Loss

UPDATE 12/20- only 5 days until Christmas and we have the best news! Uncle Dan is coming to Michigan to celebrate!!! We couldn’t be more happy! Now the hard news… the burden of this all is weighing heavily on Uncle Dan. He said the emotions come in waves and those waves feel bigger and bigger. He won’t drown though, I know that, because he is so incredibly strong. He will recover from this and he will have the most amazing testimony when he walks out of that fire not even smelling of smoke! He is holding close to the promise of our Father that he will never be forsaken. Please don’t forget about him as Christmas approaches. Bless him so big! I know we will be :) Merry Christmas to you ALL and soooo many blessings over you!! ✝️

UPDATE 12/4- Uncle Dan and 2 of his brothers made the trek back to Ohio and they made it safely! Thank you Jesus! I was on the phone with them when they pulled in and I heard a lot of “wow’s”. It made me tear up. It’s just not fair. They were there not too long, after all there isn’t much to see. It’s a black hole. They went and got some dinner and arrived at the hotel for the evening. He’s in the thick of it now! Please continue to share and donate, he is EXTREMELY grateful and overwhelmed in such a beautiful way. He told me “I’m so overwhelmed in a way I’ve never felt before.” I know that God is in the details and he will be taken care of. My heart is bursting to see so many blessings coming his way. Please share, donate, and pray for him in the days to come! BIG changes are coming his way.

UPDATE 12/3- Uncle Dan is heading back to see the site for the first time tomorrow morning. 2 of his brothers are traveling with him. Pray for them! I can’t imagine the emotions that will flood in as he digs through the ashes. So much heartache. Thank you ALL for donating. It is so incredibly appreciated!!

On December 2 at 1:30am our Uncle Dan received several phone calls that changed his life. He was staying with his brother out of state, visiting for Christmas and the Sheriff called him to let him know his house burned down completely. A total loss. The only thing left standing is the chimney. He lost EVERYTHING. Memories from his parents who have passed away, memories from a trip he went on, countless pictures of family, a chest freezer full of deer meat. There is too much to list. Thankfully he is okay and so is his little dog, Buddy. But as I was making dinner for him this evening, he started to tear up at the thought of his mom’s bread knife that was also lost. It made me weep.

Uncle Dan is a good man, a wonderful man who has helped countless people (us included) and he loves deeply. He finds joy in every situation (it may be my favorite thing about him) and he loves Jesus. He knows God will provide, but has given me permission to give him a head start in rebuilding his home, whatever that may look like.

I am asking you to bless Dan Gill as he starts a new path. A home is important and I would love nothing more than to be able to bless him BIG as he tries to figure out the next step! Thank you in advance for helping. I will update as the process continues.

He will be returning to Ohio on December 4th. He will get reports and go from there. Please pray for him and prayerfully consider giving him something. ANY amount will help him!
