Bless this Sweet Child, Blaklee Marie

Hi, my name is Lauren Gilbert. I am fundraising for Blaklee Edwards, whose battle with Cancer started at just two years old; she is now nine years old and still giving this fight her all. I am a mother of three, and I can't even fathom the struggle Blaklee and her mother, Laci Edwards, have faced over all these years. Wilms' tumor is a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children. Blaklee had her right kidney removed at age two and 35 weeks of chemotherapy. In 2016 at a check-up, Blaklees cancer returned and was now in her right lung, which resulted in 22 weeks of in-patient chemotherapy. Over the years, she has had radiation and a chest tube to drain fluid in her lungs and is currently undergoing 24 weeks of chemotherapy due to cancer returning full force. She is waiting for a test trial through MD Anderson and St. Judes. Her mother, Laci, has been there for Blaklee every step of the way and could use all the help she can get right now, whether it be fuel going back and forth from the hospital, taking Blaklee to appointments, or just doing something to allow this Sweet Child to live her life to the fullest.
