Bless Dane and Desiree PLEASE SHARE

Most of you already know, but for those of you that don’t,

Dane Lacount(my baby brother) was in a at work explosion. He is currently in the hospital at UNM in Albuquerque, with severe burns to mostly all of his hands and arms, along with burns to his face. He will need skin grafting and long(at least8months) extensive therapy.

The love of his life, new bride, adventure buddy, co-worker and best friend was also involved in the accident. Although Desiree didn’t receive burns to her body from the blast, she was responsible for saving Dane and have the chaotic images of him in life threatening situation that has been BURNED into her visual memory.

This will be a long and very painful road to recover for them along with our family.

Dane and Desiree will be celebrating their very first wedding anniversary (August 13) in the hospital, surrounded by monitors, nurses,doctors,bandages and IVs.

Desiree’s first time experiencing the beach was with Dane and she loves it. He took her a few times and even planned her proposal on one trip to Hawaii. He was soooo excited she said “yes” and from then we gained a beautiful soul to our family. He always expressed how much he wanted to take her back to the beach.

Unfortunetly, Dane will not be able to enjoy the sunshine for over a year and will need the proper protective clothing when he is able to go outside. If you know my brother, Dane has always lived and loved adventures outdoors. Hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, hunting, camping, on and on and on, and all which he shares with Desiree.

In less than a second their lives have changed drastically.

Our goal is to raise enough to pay for necessities through the recover time (over a year) example: proper clothing, hats, gloves, liquid diet, scar therapy, mobility factors,

and possibly plan for them a TRUE wedding anniversary getaway, they will definitely need the escape after this long upcoming year.

Im asking everyone reading this to take a moment and imagine yourself in Danes situation, and if you could help him out even just a little.He would never ask for an ounce of help, and that is why I’m sharing this with you today. Even the small act of sharing this with everyone you know or who might know my baby brother. Our Whole Family is so very greatful for you taking the time today and truly appreciate everyone’s help.
