Ike Riley, affectionately known as "Coach Ike", has dedicated his life to inspiring, encouraging, challenging, and shaping the character of our young men in urban communities. These communities span from the south suburban areas of Chicago to the south and west sides of Chicago. No location was ever too far for him to travel in reaching the youth. To many of the young men, Coach Ike has been a father figure. His interest in the young men went well beyond what they could do on the basketball court or a baseball field. For the past 20 years Coach Ike served the Liberty Warriors and continued the Legacy of Excellence of our late founder, Apostle Clifford E. Turner. Under his leadership Coach Ike was able to lead both basketball and baseball teams combined to over 20 championships. Coach Ike in his service has been faithful and selfless, sacrificing many hours and unlimited finances in support of these young men.
Last October, Coach Ike suffered a massive stroke which has left him a quadriplegic. Currently, he is at home being taking care of by his loving wife Angie and other family members. However, they need our help. Coach Ike needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for transport to and from rehabilitation. There is also a need to cover essential health insurance costs. Coach Ike has utilized his own resources to help so many, now he needs our support. Any amount you give will be appreciated. Our hope is that we can get at least 250 people to give $100.00. If you are unable to give $100.00, your best gift will be appreciated.
