Bless Baby Lyric and family!

Lyric Leanne Crow was born on March 9, 2025 ready to meet her big siblings Hudson, Hunter, Sawyer, and Hannah, who were all anxiously awaiting the arrival of their baby sister. While it was a blessing that Lyric was born full-term, there were diagnoses and complications that came less than 24 hours after her birth.
Lyric was born with a left ventricle dysfunction and VSD that kept her at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital for the weeks to come in various units, including the PICU where she had to be sedated and ventilated and needed cardiac support. The heart issues she was having was having a chain reaction on her other organs and throughout her body.
Lyric finally made her way home with a nasogastric (NG) tube to help with her food intake. Emily and Scott were finally able to have the opportunity to take her home to the rest of their family and meet all the family that hadn't been able to love on her yet before another hospitalization for a 10 day in-patient treatment plan took place just a short time later because of a positive blood culture indicating bacteria in her bloodstream that was extremely harmful to her and her fragile state.
Feeling wonderful to finally have her home again and adjust to a home life as a family of 7, Emily and Scott would have to take Lyric back to the hospital again just a week later when her breathing became very irregular and labored. She was admitted yet again. Lyric had Rhinovirus this time. While she has recovered from that, it was also discovered during this current hospitalization that she also has a hemangioma. While this generally is not life-threatening because it is a sort of benign tumor, Lyric's is serious because hers is located in her airway right below her vocal cords that is still affecting her breathing.
Lyric has spent more of her life in the hospital or in doctor's offices than at home. At this point and with this current hospitalization, it is still unknown when discharge will be, but the medical team continues to work on figuring successful treatment plans to safely shrink and remove the hemangioma. While the goal is to always get Lyric well enough to be able to go home, she will still need to be closely monitored.
I've seen first-hand how difficult and heartbreaking it has been for Scott and Emily to have to choose between wanting to be at the hospital and not leave Lyric's side, wanting to be present for their other 4 kids, and having to go to work because of financial responsibilities.
Baby Lyric's health issues and complications have come at a great cost emotionally, physically, and financially. While I know she's getting the physical help she needs, I would like to ask that you help them financially if you're able to by making a donation. Small amounts always add up and I believe helping them financially would help their emotional health as well as they would have a little less to worry about if we could help them with this. As a parent, the worst thing we can experience is to see our child ill and suffering and the fear of the unknown. Unfortunately, they're experiencing this regularly.
Money raised will got towards Lyric's medical bills, any other medical devices or supplies she'll need that are not covered by insurance, transportation to and from the hospital during almost daily trips back and forth, and meals while they're there. All of these costs continue to accumulate and with the current discharge being uncertain, they'll continue to do so.
Lastly and most importantly, I'd ask you to pray.
-Please lift little Lyric up in prayer as she is such a beautiful and precious baby. Her little body needs some help, she has the soul of a little warrior. Jesus will use her and her story in such great ways and she will do such amazing things for Him.
-Please pray for Scott and Emily and for their hearts as they fight alongside her and care for all the ways they need to while their hearts also yearn to be with their other babies.
-Please pray for Hudson, Hunter, Sawyer, and Hannah as they miss Lyric, Mom, and Dad during hospital stays. They have been little champions through all of this, though.
-Please pray for the medical teams as they work to keep giving Lyric the best care possible and successful treatments throughout her stays, illnesses, and complications.
If you're able to, please give any amount you're able to and comfortable with. I would also ask that you share this with those you know so that it can be reached by many who would be willing to bless them.
Thank you, friends. <3
