Anita is a dedicated server at Mi Cocina in Rockwall, working long hours and double shifts to provide for her children. She is not only amazing at her job, but also known for her kindness and generosity. Recently, a customer dining alone shared a heartwarming story on Rockwallian: when it came time to pay, Anita brought the check, and instead of a bill, the words 'Paid by God! Merry Christmas!' were written in. Anita had paid for his meal herself and wouldn't accept anything in return. This simple act of kindness touched the customer deeply, and he encouraged others to visit Mi Cocina, sit in Anita's section, and tip her well as a way to give back.

Inspired by Anita's selflessness, we wanted to do even more for her and her family. As a hardworking mom facing the challenges of a tough economy, Anita deserves to feel the love and support of her community. We reached out to her and asked if we could try to help bless her with funds for Christmas, bills, or whatever her needs may be.
