Every day countless thousands of young women are trafficked for sex by shameless individuals and dark underground operations across the globe. Our society is just waking up to the fact that slavery still exists in the modern world and even right in our own backyard . The need is great and the resources cannot keep up with the demand.
Our family has had a dream to open a faith-based not-for-profit ranch in the Tennessee Valley to provide hope and healing to female survivors of the sex trade. Many women are rescued from the immediate control of a human trafficker but often need counseling and skill development to survive and thrive outside of the world of trade.
We believe our education and experience has uniquely prepared us for this exciting challenge:
Jolien Haggard has a Master's in Christian Counseling from Philadephia Biblical University (PBU) and has 10 years of experience as a therapist in residential mental health. She currently works as a counselor at Bryan College in Dayton, TN.
David Haggard has a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies from PBU, a Master's in Educational Administration from Temple University (PA) and has 13 years experience working in higher education administration. He currently serves as Director of Financial Aid/Services at Bryan College.
We both desire Blazing Hope Ranch to be a solid Christ-centered organization that will provide a safe and peaceful environment that utilizes a variety of therapies, including equine-assisted , to restore these exploited women to wholeness and enable them to transition into independent living.

We need help with expenses related toward building awareness about our ministry, creating partnerships and obtaining the right property for the ranch.
