Blaze was born at 26 weeks and weighed 1lb. He was very sick and the doctors told my husband and I he would be blind, deaf, developmentally delayed, have heart, lung and kidney problems, if he lived. The doctor's gave him a 5% chance of making it. Well he made it! And we are so very thankful. He's happy, loving and positive. Most of the things, the doctors told us he would have he doesn't however he does have cerebral palsy and is unable to walk by himself unassisted.
He wants to walk himself so badly , he does physical therapy, occupational therapy and horseback riding therapy. We are trying to raise money to get him hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). It is very expensive and not covered by insurance. It's been used in Europe with children with CP with great success and CP kids have walked after treatment.
