There are moments in life when someone quietly steps up and does something extraordinary, and this is one of those moments. Coach Elliott has always been known for her high expectations in the classroom and on the court. She pushes her students to be their best, to stay disciplined, and to believe in themselves. But what truly sets her apart is the love and care she has for every single one of them.

Recently, one of Coach Elliott’s former students and her younger sister found themselves in an unexpected and difficult foster care situation. Without hesitation, Coach Elliott opened her heart and her home. She rearranged her living space, found extra beds and bedding, created a warm and welcoming bedroom just for them, and made sure they felt safe, valued, and loved. She did all of this while continuing to care for her own two young children, and she did it with no financial support from the foster care system. This is who she is, not just a great teacher, but an incredible human being who lives out the values she teaches every day on how to be a GMC Blazer!

Now it’s our turn to show up for her. We are raising funds to help support Coach Elliott and these children as they transition into this new chapter.
