Blaze our cat needs a leg amputation. Could you help?

Hi. Our lovely cat Blaze unfortunately needs a leg amputation.

This is the history of the story

We found him like this the other morning with an injury holding his leg up with an possibility of a fractured / broken leg. We took him to the vets and they advised some options and to get a x-ray done. We managed to range funds by lovely people in the community making a donation towards the cost and got him in on Monday 7th April. It turned out that he broke and dislocated his ankle quite severely. The options were to fuse the ankle together but this would take longer for recovery and could cause problems in the future if he landed on it hard and done more damage, caught while jumping etc. The other is amputation of his whole rear leg. This will result in a quicker recovery and would give him a better future. So with advise from the vets we have decided to go down this option.

Blaze is booked in to have his amputation on Tuesday 15th April.

A local animal charity (who wish to remain anonymous) has kindly funded his operation, so we are raising as much funds to cover the cost so that they can provide more care for other animals within their charity work.

We would really appreciate any help we can get towards the cost to help fund future care for needed animals.

Unfortunately with a broken ankle myself, I'm out of work so this has come at a really hard time. Anything is much appreciated with the current times. Thank you very much
