Blayne Johnson's Medical Fund

Our princess, Blayne, was vomiting and having severe abdominal pain on Friday, December 1st.  Her mommy, Kelsey, brought her to the ER and insisted there was something wrong with her baby.  Initially it was thought to be her appendix.  A cat scan was done and revealed her appendix was fine but there was a mass located above her left kidney.  Blayne was then transferred to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.  After several tests and an overnight stay in the hospital, it was decided that Blayne would require surgery to remove the mass.
Children's Hospital scheduled surgery for Monday, December 11th and her journey began.  It was determined during surgery that the kidney could not be saved and it was removed along with the mass, adrenal gland, and lymph nodes.  Blayne began her recovery as her family prayed and awaiting the diagnosis.
On December 13th we were told that Blayne's mass was a Ganglioneuroblastoma tumor.  (As I have now been educated - Ganglioneuroblastomas are tumors that develop in your nerve tissue, from “ganglia,” meaning “a mass of nerve cells.  They are intermediate tumors, ones that have both malignant and benign cells, or both cancerous and noncancerous cells.  These tumors are rare and primarily occur in children under the age of 5.)
Thankfully the lymph nodes were not cancerous and the professionals feel surgery has removed all of the tumor.  She will be having a full body scan and bone marrow testing the week after Christmas.  This will be the final say in future treatments but the oncologist was pretty certain these would come back negative.  Blayne continues to recover from her major surgery and her mommy has not left her side.
Kelsey is on an unpaid leave of absence from her employer and will be out of work for up to 8 weeks as Blayne recovers.  The GoFundMe donations would help with medical bills, medical premiums, and day to day expenses that come with taking care of a child recovering from an illness.  As a grandmother and a mother I would like to say that I am so very proud of how strong my daughter and granddaughter have been. To friends, family, medical staff, and everyone else - thank you for your thoughts and prayers - Christmas came early and there is no better gift for our family.
