Blaque Gurl Majik (BGM) Fundraiser

Donation protected
Blaque Gurl Majik (BGM) is a showcase of incredible black womxn, powerful femmes, unique queer girls and non-binary people from all artistic backgrounds.  We found that there is a need to create platforms that share the art and talents of Blaque Gurl Majik goddesses! This is a call for future leaders, active supporters and community to come together and support the movement, our movement.

We are creating this GFM in order to pay performers and organizers, event costs, supplies, technical support etc. These funds are important to fully realize our vision for this event! PLEASE SUPPORT!  We are creating an equitable and radical platform to showcase the incredible talents of our community.  Join us in supporting BGM and help create a future for black femmes, womxn, queers and nb/gnc artists to create and thrive!

"I’m an Artist, Performer and Teacher. I started singing, acting and writing music at the age of 4 in Connecticut, where I grew up. I studied music and theater at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I specialize in helping singers find their own unique voice and then helping them shape and master their vocal instrument. I also coach actors and love supporting people in building confidence. I guide students to discover various cultures, characters, and expressions through theatrical pieces and performances. I also assist my students in harnessing the ability to empathize and fully embody various characters and expressions. I’m a Soul-Reggae Jazz Hip Hop Rock Artist who before the pandemic was performing music and theater throughout the bay area. I’m currently performing with my band KahLiberation and am in the process of recording my first album Different Shades of Blue (A Blaque woman's journey). The Art's have enhanced and changed my life. I love sharing the power of Art and seeing how it allows people to grow and express themselves.  In addition to private lessons I teach youth at Destiny Arts Center in Oakland and directs Musical Theater Summer Camps with Musically Minded. "
