Blanca Lesliany Cubas

Blessings to each and every one of you. My name is Blanca Lesleany Cubas Sambula. I was born on October 15, 1976, in Trujillo Colón, Honduras. I am a homemaker and mother of six children (two girls and four boys). My life hasn't been so easy in recent years. Four years ago, I lost one of my children in a tragic accident. It was a very difficult ordeal, one I will never overcome. But with God's help and the emotional support of my family, I managed to become stronger and overcome it.

I am blessed to still have both of my parents alive, but five years ago, my mother was diagnosed with cardiomegaly, a condition that makes it impossible for her to perform her daily functions. Therefore, I am responsible for helping with all the household chores. My father already suffers from Alzheimer's, and I have a brother who was born with a hearing and speech disability. So I look out for the well-being of the three of them.

God is putting my faith and strength to the test, as I am going through a serious health situation. I was diagnosed with INVASIVE SQUAMOUS CARCINOMA (MALIGNANT CANCER), Stage 3. I urgently need treatment consisting of:

A CT scan (1), a simulation CT scan (2), radiation therapy (35), and chemotherapy (7). I have to undergo these tests at a private hospital called BELDAÑA. I can only receive my treatment at a private hospital. The hospital is located in the city of San Pedro Sula, about six hours away from my hometown. Transportation, lodging, and food expenses are incurred.

I belong to a hardworking family, who is doing everything possible to help me through this difficult situation. But unfortunately, we do not have the financial resources to cover my treatment. We've done activities and received contributions from wonderful people, but we still need more helping hands to ensure my speedy recovery.

With my heart in my hand, I reach out to each of you to ask for your support. I am a daughter, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a friend. And I want to be healthy; I need to take care of my children. And I won't achieve that if I don't fight this battle.
