Andy Birkey  is without a doubt one of the nicest people out there, always looking to help out another person, either with his actions, words or a simple inspirational hashtag or picture.  He is often the first to jump on an idea in order to help another person out,  I think it is high time we show him how much we appreciate him and his role in our community!  

First off: This is a SECRET endeavor! Do not post about this on the Maker group or on your own personal Facebook wall!

I want all of us to band together to get him an Origin Shaper!

 I saw his reaction first hand at the Bay Area Maker Faire, and he was completely floored.  He immediately saw how this machine could be fully utilized (bearded dragon) in his shop!  His shop is often tasked with performing elaborate Church restorations and creates some of the most creative jigs in order to do some magic with a router.  Just imagine what a game changer this tool could be for him!

Unfortunately, the Shaper doesn't begin shipping until Sept of 2017, so keeping this secret until that time would be virtually impossible, so after the funds are raised, I will jump in a Google Hangouts call with him to reveal it.  The top 8 donors will also get an invite to the call!  

I will record the video hangout and post it on the group to show his reaction :D

The goal amount was calculated by the Cost of the device($1500) + Shipping($100) + The amount GoFundMe takes.(8% of total + 0.30 per donation)

Be aware that when you donate, it will want to post to your Facebook Wall/ social media that you did so, do not let it!  

Let's spread the word privately amongst each other!  This might be difficult to raise the money without sharing socially, but I think we can do it!
