Blake’s Terminal Cancer - Memory Making Time
Blake Wilcox was diagnosed in October of 2019 with stage 4 Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS). ERMS is a malignant soft tissue tumor that is formed from embryonic skeletal muscle tissue, the type of tissue that grows into skeletal muscles. This cancer is extremely rare, especially in adults. He has been fighting it for close to 2 years and had gone in for an unexpected scab. Tests showed that the cancer had gotten worse and was given 3 months (if chemo does not work) or a year to 2 (if the chemo does work).
While Blake is healthy enough we would like to help him make memories and take some financial burden off of him and Amber. They are not the kind of people that would ever ask for money, but they are kind and caring to everyone around them. The couple was engaged to be married when he was first diagnosed with cancer. Cancer treatment is grueling and didn’t allow for them to have their dream wedding or take a honeymoon. The donations made here will be given to them to help fund their honeymoon and pay for cancer treatment bills.
Thank you for any donations you are able to make. It would mean the world to them to receive help and support. If you can’t help, please share the heck out of this! While it’s not a necessity, since they don’t have make a wish for adults, we’re going this route instead.
** I am a close friend of the couple and will be monitoring and updating this page so that funders can see where the donations go.
