Blake Wheeler and family

My name is Lyndsey Bass, I am asking for donations for my friend and fellow racer Blake Wheeler and his family. I have got permission from Blake’s Dad to do this fundraiser. I grew up with Blake and his brother Michael racing karts together, our parents got us into this sport and we have loved it and been a part of it since the early 2000’s. The 05 Wheeler Brothers Racing team had just purchased a Sr Champ kart and in his very first race in the kart Blake was involved in a accident on March 16, 2024 at Tri County Kartway in Kenly NC, where a kart spun in front of him resulting in Blake hitting that kart head on, and flipping. Blake was injured and taken to the emergency department and was then air lifted to Vidant in Greenville NC with a broken back. Blake is undergoing surgery for a broken back, and he will have a long road to recovery, he is having rods/pins/screws placed and will be out of work for several weeks/months. We all know this could have resulted in a much worse outcome and are thankful that Blake will be back on his feet after recovery. Blake and his wife Lindsay have a baby on the way, due in approximately 8 weeks, they also have a young son, Jacob. Blake and Lindsay will need our help in the coming months for their bills. Lindsay will be out of work with a new baby very soon and Blake will be out of work recovering from his accident/surgery. If you would like to donate to Blake and his family it will be greatly appreciated and used towards their bills as we all know the bills will never stop coming. We ask that you keep Blake in your prayers as he recovers from this accident.
