We are mourning the unexpected loss of a bright light in the life of so many. Blake Tronsen was a beloved son, brother, fiance, friend, and U.S. Marine. On Nov. 6th, he tragically committed suicide. No one knew he was struggling as he kept his thoughts to himself and was always smiling and happy around his friends and family.
In the words of his younger brother, "Blake had the funniest, most carefree personality... I've never met anyone else so universally loved by everyone he met. He was a friend to everyone and he could make anyone laugh. He loved to joke around and mess with his friends. We used to send each other funny things every week. Every time he sent me something it always made my day better. I've always looked up to him. When I was little he was my superhero. I would always beg him to play with me, and he always would, even though he had his own friends. He was strong, loving, and courageous. His bright personality shined everywhere he went. I love him so much. He is the best brother anyone could ever have."
All his life, as he grew up in Carnation, Washington, Blake dreamed of becoming a Marine. He was eager to serve his country. He graduated from Cedarcrest High School in 2016 and then enlisted. He served 4 years of active duty, loved being a Marine, and was a good friend to his fellow Marines. He then moved to South Dakota to live with his fiance and high school sweetheart Jamie Okazaki. He started attending college and had big plans for the future before his tragic passing.
Even if you can't donate, please share memories or kind words with his grieving family, fiance, and friends. Any funds donated beyond the amount to cover funeral/memorial costs will be donated to Mission22 which is a non-profit that combats the ever-rising veteran suicide rate.
